What a View!

This is a view of the Mediterranean Sea from a restaurant we ate at in Alexandria. The view was absolutely breath taking. I don't know if it is just the fact that we were sitting in the area of so much history or just the surreal vision of the boats and the gorgeous skyline of Alexandria!

The Nile

This is the view from our hotel room in Cairo. This is the Nile........ It is absolutely beautiful. It was so amazing to realize that everytime I would look out the balcony that I was looking at the Nile!

Back from Egypt

I just returned home from Egypt early Wednesday Morning. I have so many things to share. Starting tomorrow I will try to post a story a day for the next week or so. I am so sorry I was not able to post while in Egypt. My laptop died the day before I left. I think that God knew I needed a break from the computer. Thank you for all of your prayers and support during the last week and a half.

Getting Ready To Leave!

We leave tomorrow! The bad news is that my laptop just died today and I will not be able to use it in Egypt. I will do my best to find a computer to update my blog. Thank you for your support and prayers!

Commissioned

Our team was commissioned last night at church for our trip. How exciting to be so close to our time to leave. Only 10 more days and counting!

Nervous

I am actually getting nervous about thinking of traveling again. I really do not like to fly and the flight from New York to Egypt is about 11 hours. I am usually fine once I am in the air, it is just the whole idea of getting up there!

Brent is off!

My husband, Brent left for Egypt yesterday and is the leader for the team. He will be going to help with youth ministries involved in sports. Please pray for him and the Northland team as they minister there.

Passport Photo

I had my passport picture taken today for my passport renewal. It has been so long since I had a current passport and I am getting ready for my trip in September. Somehow I have a wild and crazy stray hair in the photo. I guess I will be sure to mess up my hair to clear Customs! :) I am sending out my letters to everyone today about my trip. I will miss him so much, but am excited that he will be able to serve with the Wadi Sports Camp there. I don't think I have ever been so nervous!
